Periscope is an app that is an app that has been recently released. This app is meant to give the user the opportunity to “explore the world through someone else’s eyes”

Here’s the story of periscope;

Just over a year ago, we became fascinated by the idea of discovering the world through someone else’s eyes. What if you could see through the eyes of a protester in Ukraine? Or watch the sunrise from a hot air balloon in Cappadocia? It may sound crazy, but we wanted to build the closest thing to teleportation. While there are many ways to discover events and places, we realized there is no better way to experience a place right now than through live video. A picture may be worth a thousand words, but live video can take you someplace and show you around.

Simply put, Periscope enables you to “go live” via your mobile device anytime and anywhere. The app enables you to become your own “on the go” broadcasting station, streaming video and audio to any viewers who join your broadcast. Periscope is an app that truly takes advantage of its mobile platform incorporating notifications and location as well as social sharing (on Twitter of course), live discussions and feedback.

Periscope is an app that was recently used by social media professionals because they are noticing the branding opportunity this app gives. It gives interactive customer support, it gives a company the opportunity to show how to use a product, and it can help a company conduct focus groups and so much more.

This app is a ‘real time’ app and gives the viewers and consumers the chance to see things first hand and up close. This app is connected to Twitter and is still in the process of growing, but there is so much room for growth that there is no doubt this app will grow and become one of the dominating apps we have today.

How to Make Money Blogging

“Social media is now a business. If you don’t think it’s a business, you’re deluding yourself.” – Essena O’Neill’s who is an Australian model and teenage blogger who  has more than a million followers across Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube and Tumblr.

Here an example of how companies will email you with dot points of what you should say, with the times of day to post, with what you should do in the photo, how you should hold the product or where you should have it in the background.

Companies know the power of social media and they are exploiting it.

With 33,000-plus followers on Instagram, the UK blogger can charge about $2000 for a single post to Instagram and up to $10,700 for bigger projects with brands such as H&M and Armani Exchange.

This era of social media is all about business. using people that have an influence on the public, such as people with millions of followers have an influence. Celebrities both local and global have an influence on all their followers and companies notice that. Companies are noticing the influence these people have. The celebrities such as the Kardashians (pictured above) are who is shaping this generation. Companies such as fit tea are seeing the power they have and are using them to advertise their product so their followers will think that they really use it and hope that the followers of these celebrities will buy and use the product.
